New York Licensed Associate General Counsel

Job Summary

As the first New York Licensed Associate General Counsel in a full-time remote position, the successful candidate will manage the commercial contracts function, handle a variety of legal matters across the business, and develop processes to support scalability while advising on legal risks and business opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and close enterprise SaaS/AI agreements, including relevant addenda and schedules
• Build and maintain contract templates and a negotiation playbook to expedite sales processes
• Serve as the embedded legal partner for various departments, identifying legal risks early in product development

Required qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school with an active state bar membership in good standing
• 4-8 years of experience, including 2-3 years at an Am Law 100 law firm in transactional/commercial practice
• Deep expertise in commercial contract drafting and negotiation with experience in complex deals
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize competing demands
• Clear and direct communication skills, both written and verbal
