New York Licensed Auto Damage Specialist

Job Summary

Investigating and resolving first-party automobile physical damage claims, the full-time New York Licensed Auto Damage Specialist will evaluate damages, negotiate settlements, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while working remotely with occasional visits to the New York office.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the entire claims process from initial report through final resolution, including investigating damages and determining liability
• Negotiate repair costs and settlements with various stakeholders, ensuring compliance with state regulations and company policies
• Maintain accurate documentation and manage claim inventory to meet service and productivity expectations

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in property damage and/or first-party auto claims adjusting
• Demonstrated expertise in vehicle damage appraisal and repair estimating
• Experience with industry-standard estimating software (e.g., CCC One, Mitchell, Audatex)
• Strong investigative and negotiation skills
