New York Licensed Claims Attorney

Job Summary

Managing a high-volume portfolio of litigation matters, the remote temporary New York Licensed Claims Attorney will oversee 100+ cases, develop litigation strategies, and make recommendations on settlements while working within EST zone hours.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and review cases handled by outside counsel, ensuring effective case strategy and communication
• Enter notes into the case management system and prepare settlement requests while analyzing financial exposures
• Collaborate with the outside counsel management team to review motions and provide actionable feedback on litigation strategies

Required qualifications

• Active New York attorney license with experience in claims evaluation and case valuation
• Proficiency in case management systems such as Guidewire or Litify
• Strong background in litigation strategy review and settlement negotiation
• Experience with Microsoft Excel for case tracking and reserve analysis
• Knowledge of premises liability and motor vehicle accident claims in New York is a plus
