New York Licensed Claims Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing claims team, the fully remote Senior Commercial Construction Claims Specialist will independently analyze claims, recommend settlement strategies, and interact with various stakeholders to resolve complex construction claims.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed analysis to investigate claims exposure and recommend settlement strategies
• Create reservation of rights and coverage denial letters, negotiating settlements with involved parties
• Document and communicate claim activity efficiently while coaching and mentoring lower-level adjusters

Required qualifications

• High school diploma
• 7 or more years of related claims experience with a proven track record in handling complex claims at a senior adjuster level
• Active adjuster's license in New York and any other states where claims are managed
• Knowledge of accepted industry standards and practices
• Experience with claims and business software
