New York Licensed Claims Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing claims team, the fully remote Senior Commercial Construction Claims Specialist will independently conduct detailed analyses of claims, recommend settlement strategies, and interact extensively with various parties involved in the claims process.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, and resolve complex construction claims while applying analytical skills for informed decision-making
• Create reservation of rights and coverage denial letters, negotiating and resolving settlements directly with involved parties
• Document and communicate claim activity efficiently, coaching and mentoring lower-level adjusters as needed

Required qualifications

• High school diploma
• 7 or more years of related claims experience with a proven track record at a senior adjuster level
• Appropriately licensed and/or certified in all states where claims are handled
• Knowledge of accepted industry standards and practices
• Computer experience with related claims and business software
