Job Summary

To support a growing healthcare technology provider, the full-time New York Licensed Coding Supervisor will oversee daily operations of the Professional Coding Department, ensuring accurate and compliant coding while leading a team of certified professionals in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of certified professional coders across multiple specialties, providing performance feedback and professional development opportunities
• Monitor coding operations, ensuring timely completion and adherence to coding accuracy and compliance standards
• Collaborate with clinical teams to enhance coding accuracy and provide education on documentation requirements and coding regulations

Required qualifications

• Current coding certification through AAPC, AHIMA, or an equivalent organization
• 5+ years of physician coding experience
• 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience
• Experience conducting coding audits and quality reviews
• Associate or bachelor's degree in Health Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
