New York Licensed Physician Assistant

Job Summary

To support advanced heart failure care, the full-time New York Licensed Physician Assistant will provide patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, manage treatment plans in collaboration with physicians, and participate in overnight remote call coverage with weekend rounding as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care, including taking medical histories, performing physical exams, and ordering diagnostic tests
• Develop diagnoses and treatment plans in collaboration with attending physicians and assist with research data collection
• Engage with patients and multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient satisfaction and education throughout the care process

Required qualifications

• BS in Physician Assistant studies
• New York State Registered Physician Assistant license
• Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) from the National Committee on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
• Preferred experience in cardiology
• Ability to work in high-pressure environments and make critical decisions
