New York Licensed Project Engineer

Job Summary

To support energy infrastructure projects, the full-time New York Licensed Project Engineer will test and verify HVAC systems in new construction and renovation projects, ensuring compliance with design intent and energy efficiency standards while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Review design drawings and equipment specifications for clarity and maintenance access
• Create project-specific commissioning plans and develop start-up and testing checklists for HVAC systems
• Perform onsite inspections, functional testing of HVAC systems, and document deficiencies with corrective actions

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or a two-year Technical Degree with relevant field experience
• 3+ years of field experience in mechanical design/build or commissioning, or 5+ years as a service or BAS technician
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and building automation systems
• Certification as a Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP) or Building Commissioning Professional (BCxP) is preferred
