Litigating cases primarily in Queens and Nassau Counties, the full-time New York Licensed Senior Staff Attorney will handle moderately complex litigation, conduct legal research, and develop defense strategies while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Handle moderately complex and high exposure litigation cases independently from inception through trial
- Analyze legal issues and develop defense strategies, preparing pleadings, motions, and briefs with minimal supervision
- Communicate effectively with clients, claims partners, and the court while ensuring timely disposition of assigned cases
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in New York State
- Minimum of 7 years of insurance defense legal experience
- Member in good standing of the NYS Bar Association
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Demonstrated expertise in handling claim cases and litigation
