New York Licensed STD Case Manager

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the full-time Associate STD Case Manager will make timely and accurate Short-Term Disability claim decisions, proactively gather relevant information, and maintain high levels of customer service while working in a hybrid remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Make customer-focused claim decisions by analyzing relevant clinical, vocational, and financial information
• Provide empathetic customer service to earn trust and anticipate claimant needs
• Collaborate with team members to foster a positive work environment and maintain operational standards

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
• 1-3 years of experience in STD claims preferred
• Knowledge of STD, SDI, and Absence Management products and relevant regulations
• Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and pathology preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Claim Vantage experience is a plus
