New York Oncology Nurse
Job Summary
Offering a full-time remote opportunity, the Oncology Triage Nurse will provide triage, support, and education to cancer patients, conducting clinical assessments and managing care coordination during their treatment journey from 8:30 AM to 5 PM EST.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and manage member health through phone, email, and video communication
- Facilitate end-of-life care discussions and support members throughout the oncology care continuum
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to address member needs and participate in case conferences for targeted support plans
Required qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and a compact unrestricted registered nurse (RN) license
- At least 2 years of nursing experience, including 1 year in solid tumor oncology nursing
- Oncology-related certifications such as OCN, AOCN, AOCNS, or CCM required or to be obtained within 2 years of hire
- Compact and single state licensure in New York and/or Illinois preferred
