New York PE Licensed Structural Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a New York PE Licensed Structural Engineer, the full-time position will involve leading engineering teams, developing structural designs for transportation facilities, and collaborating with various engineering disciplines in the New York, NY office.
Key responsibilities
- Lead engineering staff on various task assignments and oversee the development of structural design details, drawings, and specifications
- Utilize structural software and tools such as REVIT, AutoCAD, and STAADPro to create and evaluate designs for transportation projects
- Coordinate with architects and other engineering disciplines to ensure comprehensive design contract documents are developed
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on structural engineering; Master's degree preferred
- 5 to 7 years of relevant post-education experience in structural design, particularly in transportation projects
- PE Licensed in New York or capable of obtaining licensure within one year
- Proficiency in structural design software including STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, and RAM Structural System
- Experience with construction documents and knowledge of state and city building codes
