New York State Math Instructor

Job Summary

Seeking experienced educators, the part-time New York State Math Instructor will develop and facilitate online workshops and modules aimed at helping educators pass the New York State Teacher Certification Examinations Field 004: Mathematics, focusing on both math content knowledge and pedagogical approaches.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with curriculum developers to create asynchronous online modules and synchronous workshops for math content and pedagogical knowledge
• Design and implement three to five online modules in Canvas covering relevant math topics such as Algebraic Thinking, Functions, and Geometry
• Facilitate synchronous online workshops via Zoom for educators needing additional support to pass certification exams

Required qualifications

• Successful teaching experience with children and adults
• Experience developing curriculum for educators
• Strong math content knowledge at the secondary level
• Experience teaching math concepts to adults
• Master's degree in education, Social Work, or a related field
