Night Shift Linux/Unix Administrator
Job Summary
To support 24/7 operations, the Night Shift Linux/Unix Administrator will manage Linux/Unix systems administration, perform advanced troubleshooting, and ensure proactive monitoring and incident remediation in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Administer Linux/Unix development, test, and production servers, including reloading, patching, and configuration
- Diagnose and resolve complex Linux/Unix OS, service, and connectivity issues while owning Level 2 tickets through resolution
- Perform daily monitoring of systems and services, initiating proactive remediation and providing operational reporting
Required qualifications
- BA/BS degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination
- Strong experience with Linux/Unix troubleshooting and server administration
- Ability to support rotating shifts, specifically from 6pm to 6am EST
- U.S. Citizenship and U.S. residency required
- Experience in creating documentation and training materials for Linux/Unix procedures
