Non-Medicare Billing Specialist

Job Summary

Managing the collection of outstanding accounts receivable, the fully remote Non-Medicare Billing Specialist will ensure timely payment of claims, resolve billing issues, and maintain positive relationships with payers and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve denied or rejected claims for various non-Medicare insurance companies, including commercial and managed care plans
• Perform claims resolution through web portals, phone calls, and clearinghouses, while achieving pre-established workflow and compliance goals
• Identify high-level issues for escalation and participate in internal updates and discussions with leadership

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of healthcare revenue cycle experience, particularly in billing and collections
• Experience with Home Health/Hospice/Private Duty EMR systems is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong quantitative skills
• Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing working environment
