Job Summary
Managing an assigned loan pipeline, the full-time Non-QM Underwriter will underwrite complex non-qualified mortgage loan applications, ensuring compliance with investor guidelines and company policies, while working remotely or onsite.
Key responsibilities
- Underwrite Non-QM loans and support Conventional loans as needed, ensuring salability and compliance with guidelines
- Analyze complex borrower income and documentation, calculating various income types accurately
- Maintain strong relationships with internal teams and respond to Quality Assurance and Quality Control reviews promptly
Required qualifications
- 3-5 years of hands-on Non-QM mortgage underwriting experience
- Strong knowledge of Non-QM investor guidelines and alternative income documentation
- Experience evaluating complex borrower scenarios and making independent underwriting decisions
- Deep understanding of federal and state laws related to mortgage lending
- Aptitude for learning and navigating loan origination software and technologies
