Job Summary
Managing an assigned loan pipeline, the full-time Non-QM Underwriter will underwrite complex non-qualified mortgage loan applications, ensuring compliance with investor guidelines while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Underwrite Non-QM loans and support Conventional loans as needed, ensuring they conform to applicable guidelines
- Analyze borrower income and documentation, calculating various income types to facilitate timely loan closings
- Develop strong working relationships with cross-functional teams and address complex loan issues effectively
Required qualifications
- 3-5 years of hands-on Non-QM mortgage underwriting experience
- Strong knowledge of Non-QM investor guidelines and alternative income documentation
- Experience evaluating complex borrower scenarios and making independent underwriting decisions
- Deep understanding of federal and state laws related to mortgage lending
- Able to navigate loan origination software and various loan documents effectively
