Non-QM Underwriter
Job Summary
Managing an assigned loan pipeline, the full-time Non-QM Underwriter will underwrite complex non-qualified mortgage loan applications, ensuring compliance with investor guidelines and timely loan closings, while working both remotely and onsite.
Key responsibilities
- Underwrite Non-QM loans and support Conventional loans as needed, ensuring compliance with applicable guidelines
- Analyze complex borrower income and documentation, calculating various income types for loan approvals
- Develop strong relationships with internal teams to resolve loan issues and meet Key Risk and Performance Indicator metrics
Required qualifications
- 3-5 years of hands-on Non-QM mortgage underwriting experience
- Strong knowledge of Non-QM investor guidelines and alternative income documentation
- Experience in evaluating complex borrower scenarios and making independent underwriting decisions
- Deep understanding of federal and state laws related to mortgage lending
- Proficiency in loan origination software and basic computer skills
