Job Summary
Managing an assigned loan pipeline, the full-time Non-QM Underwriter will underwrite complex non-qualified mortgage loan applications and ensure compliance with investor guidelines while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Underwrite Non-QM loans and evaluate complex borrower scenarios, ensuring loans meet salability and compliance standards
- Analyze borrower income and documentation, calculating various income types using traditional and alternative methods
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex loan issues and maintain productivity and quality standards
Required qualifications
- 3-5 years of hands-on Non-QM mortgage underwriting experience
- Strong knowledge of Non-QM investor guidelines and alternative income documentation
- Experience with federal and state laws related to mortgage lending
- Technical proficiency in loan origination software and basic computer skills
- Able to read and interpret various loan documents effectively
