Non-QM Underwriter
Job Summary
Managing an assigned loan pipeline, the full-time Non-QM Underwriter will underwrite complex non-qualified mortgage loan applications, ensuring compliance with investor guidelines while working remotely or onsite.
Key responsibilities
- Underwrite Non-QM loans, including bank-statement programs, and support Conventional loans as needed
- Analyze borrower income and documentation, ensuring timely loan closings and adherence to company policies
- Develop relationships with cross-functional teams and respond to internal Quality Assurance reviews
Required qualifications
- 3-5 years of hands-on Non-QM mortgage underwriting experience
- Strong knowledge of Non-QM investor guidelines and alternative income documentation
- Experience evaluating complex borrower scenarios and making independent underwriting decisions
- Deep understanding of federal and state laws related to mortgage lending
- Able to navigate loan origination software and possess basic computer skills
