Job Summary
To support a growing mortgage company, the remote Non-QM Underwriter Team Lead will manage a team of underwriters, handle escalations, complete second-level reviews, and assist with training and hiring processes.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with interviews for Non-QM Underwriter candidates and train new hires
- Complete second-level Non-QM underwriting reviews and serve as the subject matter expert
- Act as the first point of contact for Non-QM file escalations while maintaining a light underwriting pipeline
Required qualifications
- Experience as a Team Lead Underwriter in a wholesale or TPO Non-QM environment
- Strong Non-QM underwriting knowledge
- Wholesale underwriting experience
- Experience training Non-QM underwriting hires
- Experience handling Non-QM file escalations
