Job Summary
Bringing extensive experience in Non-QM underwriting, the remote Non-QM Underwriter Team Lead will manage a team of underwriters, oversee second-level reviews, and handle escalations while maintaining a light underwriting pipeline.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with interviews for Non-QM Underwriter candidates
- Train new Non-QM underwriting hires and complete second-level reviews
- Serve as the Non-QM subject matter expert and act as the first point of contact for escalations
Required qualifications
- Experience as a Team Lead Underwriter in a wholesale or TPO Non-QM environment
- Strong Non-QM underwriting knowledge
- Wholesale underwriting experience
- Experience training Non-QM underwriting hires
- Ability to maintain a light underwriting pipeline while supporting team lead responsibilities
