Job Summary
To support the Gillings School of Global Public Health, the part-time Adjunct Instructor will teach core or concentration courses for the online Master of Public Health program, facilitating weekly live sessions, grading assessments, and maintaining communication with students and faculty.
Key responsibilities
- Facilitate weekly live online sessions to discuss and apply learning from self-paced modules
- Grade assessments and provide verbal and written feedback to students
- Maintain regular communication with lead faculty and the MPH@UNC coordinator regarding student experiences and course enhancements
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in public health or a related field; PhD preferred
- Significant work and/or teaching experience related to the course being taught
- Experience in public health practice or research addressing public health issues
- Strong writing skills with experience providing feedback on written assignments
- Ability to effectively manage group discussions
