North Carolina Child Care Consultant

Job Summary

Supporting child care licensing in Cabarrus County, NC, the full-time North Carolina Child Care Consultant will assist providers in understanding state requirements, monitor compliance at licensed centers and homes, and conduct investigations into alleged violations, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Assist potential and current child care providers in achieving and maintaining compliance with state licensing requirements
• Monitor licensed centers and homes to assess compliance with regulatory standards and document findings
• Investigate reports of violations, including allegations of unlicensed operations, and determine appropriate follow-up actions

Required qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant discipline and two years of related experience, or a Bachelor's degree and four years of related experience
• Proven experience evaluating child care environments and assessing compliance with licensing requirements
• Demonstrated success in conducting investigations and determining appropriate follow-up actions
• Established record of providing consultation and technical assistance to child care providers
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation and reporting tasks
