Job Summary

Providing guidance and technical assistance to county Child Welfare staff, the full-time remote North Carolina Child Welfare Safety Specialist will interpret policies, improve program performance, and monitor compliance across multiple counties in Region 6.

Key responsibilities
  • Deliver Child Welfare Practice and Policy interpretation and technical assistance to county staff and leadership
  • Oversee the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) process and support program enhancements
  • Monitor case records and performance metrics to ensure compliance with regulations and improve outcomes for families
Required qualifications
  • Master's degree in a relevant discipline and four years of related experience, or a Bachelor's degree and six years of related experience
  • Experience supervising North Carolina child welfare programs and applying relevant statutes and policies
  • Ability to build professional relationships to enhance service delivery
  • Knowledge of federal regulations, North Carolina General Statutes, and Administrative Rules related to child welfare
  • Experience in training and providing technical assistance in child welfare settings
