Job Summary
Providing ongoing support to county child welfare programs in Region 1, the full-time North Carolina Child Welfare Permanency Specialist will deliver monitoring, training, consultation, and technical assistance to enhance program performance and outcomes for children and families in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Monitor county child welfare program activities to assess performance needs and identify areas requiring support
- Deliver training and arrange technical assistance to strengthen child welfare practice and program operations
- Direct and support county Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) processes to improve program functioning and outcomes
Required qualifications:
- Master's degree in a discipline relative to the program and four years of related experience, or a Bachelor's degree and six years of related experience
- Expert level experience applying North Carolina child welfare statutes, rules, policies, and best practices
- Proven experience implementing change management and CQI strategies in child welfare programs
- Established record of conducting detailed record reviews and analyzing performance-related data
- Demonstrated proficiency in providing structured coaching that reinforces consistent practice
