Supporting a statewide newsroom, the part-time Contract Editor will edit features and newsletter content, collaborating with reporters to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to AP Style in a fully remote role.
Key responsibilities
- Edit and fact-check stories for clarity, accuracy, and narrative structure
- Provide substantive edits and copyedits in accordance with AP Style
- Collaborate closely with reporters to enhance the quality of content
Required qualifications
- Experience in editing features and newsletter content
- Strong understanding of AP Style guidelines
- Ability to work approximately eight hours per week with flexible scheduling
