Job Summary
To support reinsurance subsidiaries, the North Carolina Licensed Accounting Consultant will manage statutory financial reporting and compliance tasks, working either hybrid or remotely in a full-time capacity.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare quarterly and annual NAIC Statutory Financial Statements and related regulatory reports for Captive Insurance Company
- Coordinate monthly close processes, including variance research and financial statement preparation
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory changes
Required qualifications:
- BS/BA in accounting or finance
- 5 or more years of experience in financial accounting and reporting
- Knowledge of STAT and GAAP accounting practices
- Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with SAP is a plus
- Experience in insurance accounting, particularly with Bluebook and reinsurance, is preferred
