North Carolina Licensed Claims Representative

Job Summary

Handling liability and property claims under close supervision, the full-time North Carolina Licensed Claims Representative will investigate, adjudicate, and resolve coverage issues while working remotely from home near the Raleigh Branch Office.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and adjudicate claims, ensuring compliance with state insurance laws and maintaining accurate documentation
• Establish contact with all parties involved in claims and evaluate opportunities for subrogation
• Respond to inquiries from policyholders, agents, and other stakeholders while maintaining knowledge of relevant liability laws

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with two years of related claims handling or customer service experience, or equivalent educational experience
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred
• Successful completion of Introduction to Insurance (INTRO) and Introduction to Claims (AIC 30) preferred
• Ability to obtain appropriate licenses as required by the state within 45 days of employment
