North Carolina Licensed Literacy Facilitator

Job Summary

To enhance professional learning in K-5 literacy, the part-time contracted North Carolina Licensed Literacy Facilitator will facilitate quality events, share authentic classroom experiences, and collaborate with educators while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate quality Professional Learning events coordinated through Open Up Resources
• Foster authentic dialogue between curriculum users by sharing personal experiences related to implementation challenges and successes
• Prepare for and confidently deliver Professional Learning plans provided by Open Up Resources

Required qualifications

• Classroom experience implementing Bookworms K-5 Reading & Writing while currently working in a classroom or district with the curriculum
• Experience and understanding of the education environment
• Demonstrated technology skills, including leading meetings via web conference tools and utilizing educational technologies
• Extraordinary communication skills, both written and verbal
• Positive attitude focused on collaboration and team problem solving
