Job Summary
To assist individuals in accessing necessary services, the full-time hourly North Carolina Licensed Member Services Specialist will conduct telephonic screenings, link callers to appropriate services, and provide information about available providers while working remotely from North Carolina.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct telephonic screenings to collect demographic information and assess service needs
- Link callers to appropriate services and providers while ensuring compliance with Medicaid regulations
- Document calls and maintain accurate records in electronic information systems
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a Human Services field with at least two years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with four years of experience in a similar setting
- Knowledge of North Carolina's Medicaid system and behavioral health principles
- Experience working with individuals with serious psychiatric, chemical dependence, or developmental disabilities
- Ability to navigate multiple technology systems while on a live call
- Qualified Professional status according to 10A NCAC 27G .0104
