North Carolina Licensed Mortgage Specialist
Job Summary
Detail-oriented and customer-focused, the full-time North Carolina Licensed Mortgage Specialist will support the licensing process by reviewing and processing mortgage license applications and renewals while delivering excellent service to licensees and consumers in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Review, process, and maintain mortgage license applications and renewals in compliance with the North Carolina SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act
- Respond to inquiries and provide timely information to current and prospective licensees and stakeholders
- Interpret and apply relevant state and federal laws, regulations, and agency policies to licensing activities
Required qualifications
- At least one year of experience in mortgage lending, mortgage servicing, or the financial services industry
- High school diploma or GED with two years of administrative support experience, preferably in the financial services industry
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations
- Experience using the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS) is preferred
