North Carolina Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary

To support a growing mental health practice, the part-time North Carolina Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will conduct remote psychiatric assessments, prescribe medications, and collaborate with a dedicated team to deliver integrated care while enjoying a flexible schedule and additional benefits.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct remote 55-minute psychiatry assessments and 25-minute follow-up sessions for medication management and brief psychotherapy
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications, including controlled substances, in compliance with regulations
• Collaborate with therapists and clinical leadership to enhance care delivery and integrate measurement-based treatment plans

Required qualifications

• Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) licensed to practice in North Carolina with an active DEA license
• Minimum of 2 years of experience providing mental health services, including remote outpatient telepsychiatry
• Willingness to obtain additional PMHNP licensure in other states, with costs covered by the employer
• Commitment to high-quality, measurement-based, collaborative care
• Experience in integrated care models and data-informed treatment approaches
