Job Summary
To support individuals with disabilities in achieving their career and independent living goals, the full-time North Carolina Licensed Rehabilitation Counselor will provide counseling, develop individualized plans, and coordinate services remotely while working with the Cumberland County public school system.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate professional diagnostic data to determine eligibility and required rehabilitation services
- Develop written plans of services in conjunction with consumers, parents, and/or guardians
- Monitor consumer progress and document service delivery in the case management system
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in rehabilitation counseling or a related human services field from an accredited institution
- Current certification as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor by the Commission of Rehabilitation Counselor Certification
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or underserved populations
- Knowledge of case management practices
- Ability to work collaboratively with community partners
