Job Summary
To provide compassionate end-of-life care, the part-time North Carolina Licensed Veterinarian will deliver in-home hospice, palliative care, and euthanasia services to pet families in the Charlotte area, practicing independently in a mobile veterinary environment without the constraints of a traditional clinic.
Key responsibilities
- Provide in-home pet hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, and compassionate euthanasia services
- Independently travel to scheduled appointments and perform veterinary services in a mobile setting
- Educate pet families on quality-of-life decisions and maintain accurate veterinary medical records
Required qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD), or equivalent veterinary medical degree
- Active veterinary license in North Carolina or eligibility to obtain one
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to travel between appointments
- Comfortable working independently as a mobile veterinarian
- Demonstrated ability to communicate empathetically, particularly in sensitive situations
