Job Summary
Managing a workload of complex long-term disability claims, the full-time remote North Carolina Long Term Disability Specialist will conduct interviews with claimants, review medical records, and make ethical claim determinations while collaborating with various professionals.
Key responsibilities
- Communicating with claimants, employers, and medical professionals to gather information regarding long-term disability claims
- Collaborating with case managers and physicians to ensure timely and ethical claim determinations
- Reviewing complex medical records and utilizing various tools for effective claim management
Required qualifications
- High School diploma or GED, or a minimum Associate degree with relevant experience
- 3-5 years of experience in long-term disability claims
- Experience with disability and/or absence management is a plus
