North Carolina Payroll Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing real estate development organization, the contract Payroll Specialist will manage payroll processing for approximately 300 employees, oversee benefits and workers' compensation administration, and ensure compliance across multiple states while working remotely from the Charlotte area.

Key responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and on time for approximately 300 employees
• Manage workers' compensation, benefits, and fringe benefit requirements
• Maintain compliance across multiple states and employee populations

Required qualifications

• Hands-on payroll experience with independent management of processing and issue resolution
• Experience in benefits, workers' compensation, and fringe benefit administration
• Multi-state payroll experience
• Preferred experience with acquisition or employee integration
• Detail-oriented and responsive in a lean, growing organization
