Job Summary
To assist individuals in accessing necessary services, the full-time ACCESS Member Services Specialist will conduct telephonic screenings, provide information on available providers, and link callers to appropriate services while working remotely from North Carolina.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle telephonic requests for services, confirming eligibility and linking members to appropriate providers
- Document call notes and complete required forms in the electronic information system during calls
- Collaborate with ACCESS Clinicians to identify and refer individuals needing clinical assistance
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a Human Services field with at least two years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with four years of experience in a community mental health setting
- Qualified Professional status according to 10A NCAC 27G .0104
- Thorough knowledge of North Carolina's Medicaid system and behavioral health principles
- Experience with mental health, substance abuse, or developmental disabilities services
- Ability to utilize complex telephone and computer systems effectively
