Nuclear Safety Engineer
Job Summary
As a key member of the LOCA and Containment Team, the full-time remote Lead Engineer - LOCA & Containment will perform plant thermal-hydraulic safety analyses and support reload and design applications for Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) plants worldwide.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct thermal hydraulic evaluations and analyses related to ECCS LOCA, Containment, and other safety assessments
- Manage fuel project activities, including reload analyses and safety analysis support for emergent fuel issues
- Prepare and present technical data to internal and external stakeholders while mentoring team members
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering Discipline (Nuclear, Mechanical, Chemical, or similar)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Thermal Hydraulic Nuclear Plant Safety Analysis
- Expertise in two-phase thermal hydraulic analysis techniques
- Experience with BWRs or PWRs and knowledge of reactor licensing requirements
- Familiarity with T-H systems codes such as TRACG, TRACE, and RELAP
