Nursing Examination Subject Matter Expert
Job Summary
To support nursing programs, the part-time remote Nursing Examination Subject Matter Expert will manage examination development, faculty consultation, and exam delivery processes while enhancing assessment practices and ensuring alignment with NCLEX standards.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the development and review of nursing examination items and ensure alignment with course and program outcomes
- Coach faculty on best practices for exam development, including test item writing and assessment alignment
- Conduct post-exam psychometric reviews and provide recommendations for continuous improvement of assessments
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited institution
- Current RN license that has never been encumbered
- Minimum of three years of experience in nursing education
- Demonstrated experience in nursing exam development and assessment design
- Strong understanding of NCLEX-RN test plans and contemporary nursing education assessment strategies
