NY Licensed STD Case Manager

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the full-time NY Licensed STD Case Manager will make timely and accurate Short-Term Disability claim decisions, proactively gather relevant information, and maintain exceptional customer service while working in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Make customer-focused STD, SDI, and Absence Management claim decisions by analyzing relevant data and documenting outcomes accurately
• Provide empathetic customer service, building trust with claimants and employers while anticipating their needs
• Collaborate with team members to foster a positive work environment and maintain high morale and professionalism

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience; college degree preferred
• 3+ years of experience in STD claims preferred
• Knowledge of STD, SDI, and Absence Management products and relevant regulations preferred
• Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and pathology preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required; Claim Vantage experience a plus
