Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Observational Research Manager will implement and manage epidemiologic studies, analyze diverse data types, and provide safety research support for Amgen's Inflammation/Rare Disease therapeutic team.
Key responsibilities
- Implements and manages descriptive epidemiologic studies to characterize disease incidence and prevalence across various regions
- Conducts research projects involving the analysis of medical claims, electronic health records, and observational cohort studies
- Communicates significant scientific information and prepares research reports and scientific manuscripts
Required qualifications
- Doctorate degree, or a Master's degree with 3 years of scientific experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 5 years of scientific experience, or an Associate's degree with 10 years of scientific experience, or a high school diploma/GED with 12 years of scientific experience
- Experience in the design, execution, and analysis of observational research studies within a pharmaceutical or public health setting
- Experience supporting drug development through research
- Familiarity with secondary data systems, including administrative claims and electronic medical records
- Experience in observational research project planning and management
