Job Summary
Teaching an online 3-credit undergraduate course, the part-time Oceanography Instructor will introduce students to fundamental oceanographic concepts and interdisciplinary connections during Winter and Summer Sessions, utilizing multimedia content and virtual discussions through the Canvas learning management system.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging online instruction for the Introduction to Oceanography course
- Facilitate virtual discussions and applied exercises to enhance student understanding of oceanographic principles
- Manage course materials and student communication effectively in a fully remote environment
Required qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in Oceanography, Marine Science, Environmental Science, or a related field
- Prior teaching experience in higher education, preferably in an online format
