Offshore Wind Technician
Job Summary
Leading offshore technical teams, the full-time Offshore Wind Technician will execute and supervise LV and HV electrical commissioning activities on offshore wind turbines, ensuring safe and compliant operations while working remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning, maintenance, and fault rectification on LV and HV electrical systems for wind turbines
- Execute and supervise commissioning activities in accordance with approved methods, risk assessments, and safety procedures
- Diagnose electrical faults and support senior engineers during energization and functional testing activities
Required Qualifications:
- Electrical or Wind Technician apprenticeship, diploma, or degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience with LV and HV electrical systems, including proven HV switching experience on 11 kV and 33 kV systems
- HVWP1 City & Guilds certification or equivalent
- Experience in commissioning or electrical service within wind or comparable industrial environments
- Strong competence in reading and validating electrical drawings and technical documentation
