Ohio Licensed After Hours Nurse

Job Summary

To provide pediatric care and support, the part-time Ohio Licensed After Hours Nurse will assess and recommend care for pediatric patients remotely, working 28 hours a week while interacting with healthcare providers and documenting calls in a database.

Key responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care with a family-centered approach for pediatric patients
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills to address the physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs of patients
• Collaborates with team members to ensure quality care and customer service for pediatric patients

Required qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required or must be obtained within 5 years of hire
• Current certification in Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association required
• Valid, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Ohio required
• Minimum of three years of applicable pediatric experience required
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) software preferred
