Job Summary
To enhance clinical documentation accuracy, the full-time Ohio Licensed CDI Analyst will educate and train CDI Specialists, perform post-discharge reviews, and collaborate with CDI leadership, all while working remotely during weekdays.
Key responsibilities
- Conducts post-discharge, final coded, pre-bill reviews to ensure accurate medical record documentation and compliance with industry standards
- Educates and trains CDI Specialists on clinical documentation integrity rules and provides ongoing coaching
- Collaborates with CDI leadership and Coding teams to identify training needs and improve documentation practices
Required qualifications
- Diploma in Nursing or Health Information Management, or an Associate's, Bachelor's, or Doctorate Degree in related fields
- Minimum of 3 years of CDI experience as a concurrent reviewer
- Active Ohio RN license or equivalent health information certification (RHIA/RHIT) required upon hire
- Certification for Clinical Documentation Improvement (CCDS or CDIP) required upon hire
- Extensive clinical knowledge with strong critical thinking skills and familiarity with Case Mix Index (CMI)
