Job Summary
Handling liability and property claims under close supervision, the full-time Ohio Licensed Claims Representative will investigate, adjudicate, and negotiate claims while working remotely from home near Columbus, OH.
Key responsibilities
- Investigates and adjudicates claims, ensuring compliance with state insurance laws and maintaining accurate documentation
- Establishes contact with all parties involved in the claim and evaluates negotiation opportunities
- Responds to inquiries from policyholders, agents, and other stakeholders, providing support for property claims during peak periods
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with two years of related claims handling or customer service experience
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred
- Successful completion of Introduction to Insurance (INTRO) and Introduction to Claims (AIC 30) preferred
- Ability to obtain appropriate licenses as required by state within specified timeframes
- Knowledge of liability laws and motor vehicle codes for each state is essential
