Ohio Licensed Hospice Veterinarian
Job Summary
To provide compassionate end-of-life care, the part-time Ohio Licensed Hospice Veterinarian will deliver in-home hospice, palliative care, and euthanasia services while maintaining professional autonomy and flexibility in scheduling across Toledo, Sylvania, and Perrysburg, Ohio.
Key responsibilities
- Provide in-home pet hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, and compassionate euthanasia services
- Travel independently to scheduled appointments and practice effectively in a mobile veterinary care environment
- Educate pet families on quality-of-life decisions and maintain accurate veterinary medical records
Required qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD), BVMS, or equivalent veterinary medical degree
- Active veterinary license in the state(s) where services will be provided
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to travel between appointments
- Ability to communicate with empathy during sensitive end-of-life conversations
- Availability for rotational weekend scheduling as required
