Job Summary
Leading a team of experts in a remote full-time capacity, the Ohio Licensed Property Underwriting Executive will develop strategies for commercial property underwriting, manage a portfolio with significant premium, and collaborate with various teams to enhance underwriting practices and drive profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and present strategies for achieving growth and profitability targets in assigned lines of business
- Collaborate with Loss Control and Claims teams to refine underwriting practices based on market trends and insights
- Oversee the management of a high-performing team, including performance management and training initiatives
Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in business or a related field; graduate studies preferred
- 15+ years of experience in Middle Market or related commercial lines underwriting, with at least 5 years in a management role
- Extensive technical understanding of specific lines of business within commercial property and casualty
- Strong analytical skills with a proven record in strategic decision-making and financial evaluation
- Comprehensive knowledge of industry strategy, including underwriting, pricing, and product development
