Ohio Licensed Senior Commercial Underwriter

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the full-time Ohio Licensed Senior Commercial Underwriter will perform risk selection and pricing for endorsements, renewals, and new business while working remotely and ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines.

Key responsibilities:

• Assess and price endorsements, renewals, and new business according to established guidelines
• Provide customer service by responding promptly to requests for information and managing broker relationships
• Ensure timely preparation and issuance of policies, including delegating tasks to an underwriting assistant as necessary

Required qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Transportation Underwriter in a multi-state and multi-line commercial insurance environment
• Strong technical knowledge of P&C underwriting, specifically in Commercial Auto
• Advanced understanding of ISO commercial class codes and regulatory requirements
• Proven ability to make underwriting and pricing decisions based on program criteria and strategy
• Prior experience working remotely from a home office is required
